Support for Railway Infrastructure Projects

Switzerland and Germany support each other at the state level in important railway infrastructure projects – for example, the extension of the Munich-Zurich line. And SRS SPITZKE RAIL SWISS AG is also helping the German SPITZKE branch from Buchloe with construction projects along this important route.

“For SRS, it is important to network with partners and within the SPITZKE Group, even across national borders. With our knowledgeable project management and cross-trade cooperation, we achieve the very best for our customers,” says Petra Bieli, the director of SRS.

Railway infrastructure project: planning, execution, and coordination

In the Kaufering, Türkheim, and Stetten-Sontheim construction projects, the SRS experts are taking on service tasks in the project business and bridging the gap between project management and engineering tasks. “The work involved in construction projects ranges from project support to construction planning and coordination,” says Bieli. One priority is the support of the EPLASS project platform, which is used to coordinate and manage the construction projects between the client, the planning office, and the contractors.

An important milestone was reached with the scheduled commissioning and start of train operations in Kaufering at the beginning of July 2018. “We are proud that with the contribution of SRS, an important project was able to be successfully implemented on German soil,” says Petra Bieli, director of SRS. “It shows that we are taking the right approach with our interconnected way of working – implementing cross-competence rail infrastructure projects from a single source.”
